In the July-August 2008 edition of Sourcing Electricals & Lighting, an Indian magazine, they published an article about our new task light Ninety, under the heading of efficiency.
Below we give you the written content, as well as a PDF of the actual article.
"An epitome of quality, technology and creativity, Ninety turns out to be a path-breaker in task lighting.
Perhaps for the first time an angle has acquired the shape of a lamp. In what may be called as innovation at its best, Luxo, a Norwegian conglomerate, has come up with a lamp shaped like a ninety degree angle. Named Ninety, the lamp is an attempt to revolutionise the workplace environment. Luxo claims that once bought, the lamp will last for 25 years.
Ninety epitomises energy efficiency as it uses only six watts of energy. Featuring four 1.5W LEDs, it provides up to 1,280 Luxo at the workplace. What's more, the LEDs have a lifespan of 45,000 hours, thereby enabling optimal energy utilisation.
When it comes to aesthetics, Ninety turns out to be very alluring. A sleek shape complimented by a compact base makes the lamp flexible. The arm is constructed in such a way that it enables the lamp head to be parallel to the work area at all times. Moreover, springs situated in the lower part of the arm facilitate direction of light exactly where it is required. Apart from this, the user can regulate the illumination intensity by using the light switch. This turns out to be very beneficial as proper light distribution reduces computer screen reflection, which results in a conducive working environment. Perhaps, long time computer users will not complain of headaches and eye pains now."
