Professor Olle Andersson (SA/SIR, SID, IFI) is one of the pioneers behind the success of Swedish design. Chairman of the board of White Design, the successful subsidiary of White Architects and an interdisciplinary design studio in Gothenburg, Sweden, which he founded and managed for 15 years. He was awarded the Prize of Merit 2004 from the Bertil and Britt Svensson foundation for lighting technique, the finest distinction of its kind in Sweden. In May 2005 he was honoured Doctor of distinction by the Chalmers Technical Academy in Gothenburg. “He has played an important role in the development leading to the reputation of Swedish design world wide”, Chalmers stated when he was named. He is also a member of Luxo's Design Advisory Board.
